usually eat meat. It is rare too them but they are not vegetarians, they eat
meat on special occasion i.e. festivals. The alternate for the Tuareg people is
non-meat protein, such as milk and cheese. They also like their fruits, which
is mainly used up with dates and melon. The Tuareg people also like to eat
their veggies which they like to grind and pound into a sauce. Sometimes on a
special occasion they consume a nice beverage called eghajira, which is created
by pounded millet, dates and cheese mixed water. The Tuareg people obtain the
fresh water that they drink through the rural towns that they pass through and
sometimes the rivers that they find. They also live in basic shelter i.e. huts made of sticks and tents.
