The Tuareg people are truly amazing; they have an estimated population of around 1.2 million. They inhabit in the Saharan regions in North Africa. So they are usually found in the countries Niger, Mali, Libya, Algeria and even Burkina Faso. The Tuareg people don’t actually call themselves, “Tuareg people” they call themselves Imohag, or as we translate into English free man. It is even more intriguing to know that we aren't really sure when the Tuareg people came from. We know that they live in the Sahara, but we are not quite sure if they originated in the Saharan desert or if they moved from another location.
